RE: Arriva North West - St Helens Depot
Turbo - I've not seen one on the 352 for a long time either. The last time I remember seeing one on the 352 was about six months ago. I was behind the electric Solo earlier - I've not seen a fleet number on it though. However, it's one smart looking vehicle in my opinion. _______________ Formerly MX59 JZJ |

The electric solo sr ev doesnt have a fleet number due to it only being used twice a day on the 920. |

I've since learnt that's it's on loan from Optare. Is it some sort of testbed? A glimpse into the future perhaps. |

I know that this isn't strictly Arriva-related, but thought here was the best place to get an answer to this! Does anyone know why the E10, E11 and E12 are being axed from 23rd February? http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travellin...ges--.aspx I know that there has been a reduction in frequency either recently or coming soon, before they go completely. |

The big talking point at this afternoon's Merseytravel Customer Forum - apparently Merseytravel has been funding them for the last 18 months and simply cannot continue to fund them (previously the funds came from Europe). Also one of the vehicles has failed an MOT test (which probably explains the reductions in frequency which took place on 6th January). Areas no longer served after their withdrawal will be Ravenhead Retail Park and the streets behind the Town Hall as well as Boundary Road will be served by 5 buses per day! (in the form of the 135). |

One bus did not fail its mot, it simply was not put in for it as they being scrapped. There was no point paying for parts etc when it is to be withdrawn. The reduction in service is purely a slow wind down operation and the contract was not re-newed due to no more funding but other reasons were given which I can not disclose at present. |

I was on-board Green Lanes 2202 (a wreck) yesterday when a part fell off the door causing the doors to become inoperable, luckily being about 300yards from Green Lane depot a replacement vehicle was quickly on the scene. Got me wondering about the condition of the St Helens based Darts. What condition are they in? Are they reliable? & how are they thought of by the drivers? |

There like marmite you either like them or hate them but when they where at huyton the 22** X*** ANC batch where highly thought of by the drivers due to the maintinance levels being quite high there as all the buses use to be great even the older darts. |

Nice surprise to see 4207 flying down Elephant Lane on a 33, looking very smart. |
