RE: Arriva North East
Thanks a lot for that information, Kuyoyo I don't know that part of the country too well, but I take it that each depot is going 'live' in turn. This will no doubt be apparent when the little grey icons turn green. As a matter of interest, which depots are in the Northumbria region? |

Are all of the depots in the region now 'live'? If so, it will be interesting to see which region is next. My guess is that Arriva Yorkshire will be as First Leeds already provide real-time information. Also, has there been anything in the local media publicising this innovation? Over to you, Kuyoyo. |

All the depots are indeed live but there are minor problems with certain vehicles not being tracked however these are being sorted. As for local media advising, it is currently being pushed in local radio while there's also posters up in bus stops such as 'We can't tell you why Dads can't dance. But we can tell you when the bus is due' as well as one about aliens, one on dinosaurs and one on the Lottery. RE: Arriva North East
Onto another subject, as previously mentioned, the 'Fresh' branded Pulsars are all due to lose their branding as part of the new Teesside network from the 16th February, as the 29/29a will no longer be Pulsar-worked and nor will the 27, and as I understand it, the 9 and 27a will be interwork using the Pulsars. However, after the work completed on 1451/2, and the removal of the number off 1450, the work has been halted for two reasons: 1: Stockton's bodywork team are busy helping with MOTs 2: Jesmond are reportedly too busy to do it, something about repainting Darts So chances are, from the 17th February, the chance of a 27-branded Pulsar on the 9 or a 9 branded one on the 27a (or one of either on 21a or 29 as I understand one 9/27a board will work the first 21a from Peterlee) will increase. Further Stockton Pulsars debranded are 1441/2/3 and 1445. The remaining 6 27-branded examples are due to be completed in the next two weeks. Currently on-loan to Whitby for trials on the X93 is Blyth's X10/X11 branded Gemini 7624. RE: Arriva North East
It is saying something that quite a few buses on order will be to Sapphire spec. I may prefer an alternative route to route 7 for Pulsars. In a way, route 5 felt "semi-Sapphire" last Spring while it still had the leather-seated OmniCities! |
