The previous operator of the 246 was Arriva operating from the Wythenshawe depot. It worked in conjuction with the 245 and I can personally vouch that I had to use the 245 regulary from Trafford General Hospital in the evenings after work, the hourly service was often 'missing'.
As far as Belle Vue are concerned they operated service 277 between Trafford General Hospital and Gorse Hill during 2009. It is shown on GMPTE route map for the Trafford area dated June 2009.
