No, but Chorley should be getting 24 new Scania/Enviro400 so the current 59 plates need new home, I don't know where they are going. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dmc1947/ |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
[quote='Shaun821' pid='72928' dateline='1428513161'] The drivers have to wait in Heswall for 5 minutes so connections can be made, so if the X22 was 13minutes late then fair play to the 38 driver, hes not in the wrong at all. The driver of the X22 obviously isnt going to be deliberately running late so its just bad luck really. I may have posted this before but here goes... In 1979 three chums and I attended a soccer match in San Diego, USA. None of us had hired a car and so relied on local buses. The game finished later than expected (midnight) and we were concerned that we were likely to miss our (bus) transfer. The driver of the first bus was aware of our concern and radioed the other bus - using a Motorola device - to tell it to wait where the two routes intersected. Sure enough, the connecting bus waited several minutes for us and we got back to our hotel safe and sound. Naively I thought that one day such joined-up thinking would be common-place in the UK. |

To be honest the problem was exacerbated by the legal and i say legal parking at Parkgate , so other than looking more closely at the timings of the route i can not see how anything can be done . |

A number of the b10s are going to gillmoss today if they havnt already, to help with grand national work. Summer is officially here, 28539 is out on the 1. I am no longer active on this forum. |

I saw 21116 (W465 CRN) on '2-CHESTER CITY CENTRE' last week. This bus is now 15 years -and nine days- old (new 01-04-2000). Running on borrowed time?? |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
Im really surprised to see some of these creaking gates still running round on what should be a prestige set of routes to Chester . |

They're only intended for schools, but in times of need.... What would you rather have - older bus, or no bus turn up at all? No brainer really. But yes, they are on borrowed time I would think, most likely replaced by B7RLEs stepped down from more prestigious routes. |

Think I'd prefer a few creaking gates on the 1's and 2's compared to cramped, noisy Enviro200's that regularly appear on the routes at times passenger an enthusiast alike.. All being said, you would think Scania Enviro300's would be a better option for Rock Ferry. But knowing the amount of integral Enviro300's in the MSCL region you could see them being brought in. Been hating Urban 90's since 2001 |
