Presumably the Enviro300's, Commanders and non-Sapphire Pulsars will remain for the likes of the 18/19 & Altrincham locals? https://www.flickr.com/photos/dmc1947/ |

Passed by Wythenshawe Depot today and some of the vehicles I saw included 2 Sapphire 130 pulsars, 6 Deckers and 2227 - the dart this time parked up in a corner next to the depot's trainer - presumably withdrawn (not seen it in service since it arrived here). |

Must be confusing for passengers in Cheshire and Merseyside to see the adverts for the Greater Manchester day and weekly tickets in the window. |

Seems the commanders won't be re-appearing on the 130 route again sadly. Good buses these are, only weird thing is the cracking noise tht sometimes comes from the floor, what is this? |

The seating is, if anything, less comfy than the seats it replaces and he interior seemed slightly dark. There was a blank tv screen fitted - don't know what that's for! And the driver couldn't even raise a grunt, never mind a smile or a word to any passengers. That bit was in sharp contrast to the last pre-Sapphire trip on the 130, when the driver was involved in friendly banter with a (regular?) passenger who kept dropping her shopping bag off the edge of the seat. The T.V is for the Next Stop Announcements,of the 3 Sapphire 130s i`ve traveled on,none of the have been working,i`m guessing they still need to record them first (Go North East had the same problem recently when they got there new Optare Solos for IngiGO) I Agree with you over the seats,i don`t understand why operators seem to be switching to E-Leather so much,in Winter the seats are awfully cold & you slide off them! |
