There was some confusion about whether that meant the last service was the 12 December or 19 December. Saturday was 26 December so I imagine the registration would have excluded any operation on 25/26 December anyway. |

RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others)
GHA have won the council contract for the 300 Knutsford circular Saturday service, as well as the 19 and 200 services (they've cancelled the existing Vale Travel registrations and registered them as GHA services.) The 200 service will still run 7 days a week (except it won't run on 1st Jan, 25th Dec and 26th Dec.) They've also registered a 84 Chester to Crewe service (sounds like they are trying to compete with Arriva and Routemaster) and a 37 Winsford to Sandbach via Middlewich service. The 27 Macclesfield-Knutsford (commercial service) is still on a Vale Travel registration, will that be the only one once the 19 and 200 services become GHA? |

Does make you wonder with the 84 and 37 additions been planned that ARRIVA NW may start to react? GHA the new Wrights of Wrexham against the former Crosville Wales all over again we all have to wonder. Either way interesting times. |

I'm wondering if the 37 is supposed to be the award of this contract: Quote:Lot No: 4 Lot title: S70037 Or could GHA have registered a commercial Sandbach to Winsford service after failing to win that contract? And what are Arriva planning to do with their 37/37A for that to go out to tender in the first place? In the case of the 84 I wonder if it's a case of trying to force little Routemaster Buses off the route opposed to Arriva. Routemaster cancelled their service 8 registration as soon as they realised D&G had applied to run a service on that route (both registrations being in response to Arriva withdrawing their service.) |

It appears that Arriva have dropped the frequency of the through service from half hourly to hourly (not sure how long this has been the case) and this has left gaps for these other operators. |

It appears it was cutback as the result of a subsidy reduction in 2013: http://www.middlewichguardian.co.uk/news...iddlewich/ |
