HTL Buses
RE: HTL Buses
At the end of the day no proof has been provided here that V980 XUB is breaching any contract it is placed on and having worked around HTL for close to two years I can categorically tell you there has never been an issue from Merseytravel in regards to the usage of said bus on any of their contracts.

Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

RE: HTL Buses
Maybe someone needs to do and Freedom Of Informaton request to Merseyside to put this to bed one and for all.

That's why I started my last post with *If*, as I know this is the case with TfGM and Dentonian will be able to back me up on that. Likewise, if the service is getting support via a deminimis subsidy arrangement rather than a full-blown tender, then the rules don't apply.

RE: HTL Buses
V980 XUB put in a rare appearance on the 111 today, its place on the 211 taken by MX54 KXW which was later on the 196/147 along with SN06 BMV.

RE: HTL Buses
Caught one of the 16 reg solos before, first ride on one and noticed two things wrong. A dodgy handrail and some dry oil or something on the rear bumper.

RE: HTL Buses
The latest two Optare Solos have arrived, these are YJ16 DYM and YJ16 DYN. These are replacing older Optare Solos YJ11 EKH and YJ11 EKO which are returning off lease. YJ12 GZG/H/K/L all left the fleet last week.

RE: HTL Buses
Further to this, the final two Optare Solos arrived today registered YJ16 DYO/P. Unlike the other 16 plates, which are M7900SE-Rs these are M900SRs and have Civic seating they are also the first buses in the HTL fleet to have Euro VI engines.

What have those two replaced?

RE: HTL Buses
They won't be replacing anything from the main fleet, they are just extra buses that will facilitate the return of Enviro 200 KX09 CHZ and Solo KP63 RHE once Solos P7 HTL & J8 HTL return from repairs.

RE: HTL Buses
Has the 141 to Newton got another diversion? Just seen one going towards Newton Train Station from Burtonwood omitting Earlestown completely

Could it be running out of service for start of service at Newton?
