Plus don't know where it's from but they've acquired or repainted a solo. In white livery & an 08 reg, anybody know more?

From tyrers. Not sure if loan or purchase. There's 2.

RE: High Peak
High peak/centrebus seem to have had another shufty round of their fleet again. Noticed today (sat 10th) another new arrival to the area in the form of optare solo VU02 TSX (fleet number 392). Still with it's faded centrebus branding on the back, working the number 19 prestbury turns today.

Also the pair of white 08 reg solos are still here, at first thought they could've been demonstrators but both have been here a few weeks now.

RE: High Peak
Seems to be ongoing issues with High Peak on TFGM contracts topping up and accepting 'get me there' tickets.
On several occasions now buses have been used on the 394 and 341 that have the standard ticket machine and not the ticketster?? Meaning drivers haven't had the ability to top up or check smart cards but rather than just allow passengers to travel drivers have apparently forced them to buy single tickets and pay cash.

Considering the amount of money TFGM have thrown at 'get me there' it's laughable that this is still happening. If high peak don't want to deal with get me there passes then they shouldn't be running TFGM contracts!

If someone boards a bus and wishes to top up or use their get me there smart card to travel and are told 'no' it's cash fares only because the bus has the wrong type of ticket machine then technically yes they have been left out of pocket.
Unfortanatly one of the passengers effected is a local transport actovist/campaigner in glossop so has taken the cause on. It's disappointing that TFGM don't seem interested.

RE: High Peak
The 66 plate solos are probably here to replace some of the older fleet. IIRC the oldest high peak solo still on the road is X232 MBJ (332) which on an x plate will be about 16 years old by now. Although the newer solos have had some issues they appear to be settling down well, however at peak times they're packed on the 392/58 routes.

RE: High Peak
Scania Solar 748 now carries B6WER. Presume Solo 333 has been disposed of.

I believe that the 2 remaining X - mbj solos are withdrawn.

Are the transpeak enviro 200s on certain duties or is it pot luck whether you get one or Not?

The high peak website makes a selling point of the USB points but only 4 of the buses have them unless they are planning to fit them to the older buses.

Carnt see that happening. They have enough trouble getting side and rear led displays working not to mention issues with ticket machines reading smart cards.
