RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Well what else do you suggest they do? Clearly the routes justify something better than 2003 Tridents, but not brand new.... |

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Sorry if my last comment seemed a little churlish. I just found it quite funny that yet again when Manchester gets a load of nice new buses, East Midlands get the cast offs. But as you say, for their routes they're probably about right. |

Stockport are getting 40 new hybrids for the 192 soon so that's probably where that's come from. This will herald the end of the MAN's and convert a few routes to Double Decker, presumably using the current 192 fleet. I all ready knew about 10042 to 51 the ones i am on about are the Hybirds for Stockport |

Initial reports suggested it would be the New Year when they arrived. It sounds like there's going to be quite a reorganisation of the fleet in the next few months, with the Olympians, MAN's and 06 reg's leaving, and the arrival of the hybrids and new 12's. The Olympians are gradually being withdrawn, presumably to be replaced with the ex London tridents currently on 168/169. I wonder if Ashton will get any of the 192 59 reg's. It would be nice to see. |

The 40 new hybrids are apparently due Oct/Nov/Dec of this year but have already been allocated fleetnumbers so will appear on fleetlists. Are the 59 plate Enviro400's at ST the MAN engined ones? If so I very much hope they don't come to AZ. We had one last year for a few weeks and were very very sluggish on the 236/7s. |

Pants them man Enviro400's |

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
The only other options would be if the 59's moved to Hyde Road or Sharston and some of the 58/09's moved to Ashton, but I can't see that happening. Or possibly just keep the 08's they've loaned recently. The 59's seem to do ok on the 192, but there's no hills on that route, at least not between Piccadilly and Stockport. Maybe they should send them to East Midlands instead. |

Derbyshire CC lists the 236/237 changes for 2 September. Some morning journeys along with the evening service are slightly re-timed. http://www.derbysbus.info/times/timetabl...120902.pdf http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/transport_r...efault.asp |
