There aren't many days of the week when I don't see Arriva (or Stagecoach) training vehicles on the road. Cowboy operators is a bit of a strong term, but what makes you think Stagecoach don't have a high turn over of staff?? The fact you keep seeing the driver trainers out on the road suggests they probably do. I know certainly with Stagecoach Manchester there's a couple of smaller depots that have a waiting list for internal transfers (so never advertise externally) but the main depots are always recruiting drivers. The fact they are willing to take on Eastern Europeans who speak little or no English and have some interesting driving standards just backs that up. |
