You vote and still end up with a local or national government that you don't want. Sad fact is the current system is broken and needs overhauling. We have just had a local election in our ward as one of our councillors passed away suddenly back in may. Not one of the candidates standing bothered to go out and canvass for votes. Compare the turn out figures for the EU referendum to the figures for any general or local election in the last 10 years and you will see a massive difference. That to me says people arnt too lazy to go out and vote but are frustrated by what's on offer. |
