National Express you normally have to pre-book which is why you wouldn't be able to get on with a SystemOne for the number of stops (Manchester / Airport / Rochdale / Bolton etc) that you could use within the boundary.

Issue is they are registered for local Journeys also so are a bus service like the 540 and 60 (060) is a limited stop service. drivers can sell a ticket from Oldham to Rochdale

I used to work in NX Service Delivery i never seen any NX paperwork to say they take any system one ticket on the staff manual but it clear they have taking money from System one so they are Valid tickets but years ago they diid take concession passes as they got Government funding

NX is not a pre book service drivers can issue tickets on paper but they hate doing it.
