April and May changes:


Lancaster Services
Service 80 Lancaster – Ingleton – Ribblehead - Hawes

From 3 May 2025 Lonsdale Buses will introduce this new seasonal Dales Explorer Bus service between Lancaster and Hawes National Park.

The service operates Saturdays until 18 October 2025, departing Lancaster at 0900 & 1530 and departing Hawes at 1105 & 1730.
Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Services
Service 2 Cala Gran – Cleveleys – Blackpool – Blackpool Zoo

From 5 April 2025 Blackpool Transport introduced this new service linking Cala Gran Holiday Centre with Cleveleys, Blackpool and Blackpool Zoo.

The service operates daily, generally every hour, between 0930 and 1730.
Preston, South Ribble and Chorley Services
Service X8 Chorley – Preston – Lancaster P&R – Windermere – Keswick

From 5 April 2025 Stagecoach reintroduced their seasonal service linking Chorley & Preston to Windermere and Keswick.

Also calling at Lancaster Caton Road Park & Ride site, the service operates Saturdays until 1 November 2025, departing Chorley 0905, Preston 0945 & Lancaster P&R 1020, arriving Windermere 1055 & Keswick 1150. Returning from Keswick at 1630 and Windermere at 1730.
Blackburn Services
Service HS1 Blackburn and Burnley Hospitals Shuttle

From 1 April 2025 Moving People introduced this new service linking Blackburn and Burnley Town Centres and Hospitals. This partially replaces the Hospital Shuttle Bus withdrawn by the NHS.

Maintaining the hospital links, this new service will operate between Blackburn Town Centre and Burnley General Hospital via Royal Blackburn Hospital, M65 Motorway and Burnley Town Centre.

The service operates generally every hour during Monday to Friday, between 0600 and 2000.
Service 5A, 5C, 55A, 55C Blackburn Outer Circle

From 4 May 2025 Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council will introduce this new Blackburn Outer Circle service, restoring the orbital bus route around Blackburn, linking to schools and employment zones across the town.

This new service will operate a circular route from Royal Blackburn Hospital via Guide, Ewood, Mill Hill, Billinge, Pleckgate, Little Harwood, Shadsworth and Frontier Park back to Royal Blackburn Hospital. Services 5A/55A will operate the anti-clockwise direction and Services 5C/55C will operate the clockwise direction.

The service will operate daily generally every hour daytime. Vision Bus will operate this service on behalf of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
Burnley Services
Service 591 Burnley – Todmorden – Hebden Bridge – Halifax

From 18 May 2025, First West Yorkshire will revise the route and timetable, withdrawing all Service 592 journeys and adjusting the route of Service 591 to serve Cliviger Walk Mill and Mereclough areas of Burnley.

The revised service will operate daily, generally every hour, with additional Monday to Friday peak time journeys. The Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday service will operate in partnership with Lancashire County Council and West Yorkshire PTE (Metro) providing funding to retain the service at these times.
