RE: Lancashire County Council Service Changes
September and October's changes: Lancaster Services Service 1/1A Heysham – Morecambe – Lancaster – University From 29 September 2025 Stagecoach will revise the route and timetable, to operate the University Term timetable and route ready for the University Welcome week. Service 18 Lancaster East Circular From 26 October 2025 Lonsdale Buses will take over the operation of the Monday to Saturday journeys from Stagecoach on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Stagecoach will continue to operate the Sunday & Bank Holiday journeys. There will be no changes to the route or timetable, just a change of service provider. Service 88 Lancaster – Cockerham – Garstang – Pilling – Knott End Service 89 Lancaster – Cockerham – Pilling – Knott End From 26 October 2025 Stagecoach will take over the operation of these services from Lonsdale Buses on behalf of Lancashire County Council. There will be a minor route adjustment in Garstang Town Centre on Service 88 running an anti-clockwise loop around Windsor Road, Moss Lane and Park Hill Road towards both Knott End and Lancaster to maintain common stops for customers. There will be no changes to the timetable, just a change of service provider. Service 100 Morecambe – Lancaster – University From 29 September 2025 Stagecoach will revise the route and timetable, to operate the University Term timetable and route ready for the University Welcome week. Service 552 Carnforth – Warton – Silverdale – Arnside – Milnthorpe – Kendal From 6 October 2025 Lonsdale Coaches, in partnership with Lancashire County Council and Westmorland & Furness Council, will revise the timetable, adjusting the 0905 journey from Carnforth to Kendal to depart at 0855 and operate up to 10 minutes earlier throughout. Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Services Service 21 Cleveleys – Blackpool – St.Annes From 1 September 2025 Transpora will revise the timetable, adjusting general journey times to improve service reliability. Preston, South Ribble and Chorley Services Service P1 Preston – Walton-le-Dale Park and Ride From 29 September 2025 Lancashire County Council will revise the route and stopping places within Preston City Centre to reinstate the Jacson Street Bus Stop, following the reopening of the Harris Museum, and Bus Stop J on Church Street will no longer be served. There are no changes to the timetable. |
