RE: Arriva North East
Some information regarding the changes that came into effect today and those that offically start tomorrow: The 22 and 23 will no longer interwork in Hartlepool, the 23 will stand alone with a PVR of 5. As I understand it, Sunderland Interchange will be the service's main hub for changeovers. Both the 22 and 24 will require 6 buses. Durham will revert to operating just 5 turns on the X1/X2 with Stockton regain one working to maintain PVR levels at the depot (21a goes down by 1 to 3 with the withdrawal of the 31a). Evening/late night X1s will now be entirely operated by Durham depot, with all Durham workings being Decker operated (presumably 7618/9/26/7 and either a Trident or Lowlander). Stockton will contiune to operate the Sunday services (information from Mark Gibbon on arrivane Yahoo Group) And now the sad news (thanks to Ian Wilson on the arrivane Yahoo Group) - the last Primsa 3007, which despite being withdrawn today was due to carry on in service, has finally fallen due to a brake problem. Your roving North East reporter, bring you the latest news from Arriva North East, Stagcoach North East and Go North East.
