RE: Stagecoach Manchester

As Wigan already has B9TL's there isd unlikely to be any other decker demand once the Arrows and eventually the Olympians have gone as the network requiring deckers is relatively small unlike other depots. I don't know what you've been hearing, but the staircase facing the wrong way is a load of cr*p, they face the same way as Stagecoach standard Tridents!!! The only difference on the staircases between Stagecoach Standard and Stagecoach London spec's is standard spec having a "curved" staircase where London spec has a "straight" staircase (meaning only 1 double set of seats above the drivers cab rather than 2 sets). Not that Stagecoach have any, but even the TfL spec centre staircase buses face the same way as standard double deckers. Other than the difference between straight and curved staircases, there's very little difference between a provincial Trident and a London Trident, especially after single door conversion. |
