RE: Closure of bus lanes in Liverpool.
The best thing to happen with this outcome would be for buses to block exits and turn off points whilst stuck in stationary traffic such as at the Lime St bus lane. Buses repeatedly blocking the turnoff for Hanover St/Copperas Hill (due to extra traffic and more queues) would cause mayhem for all traffic trying to enter (and exit) the City Centre from the south and generate bad publicity for the scheme.

You never know guys, it might actually work (doubtful), but you never know!
