If two are off the road, what's the harm in putting an 09 plate Pulsar on there?Runcorn mightn't be keeping their older 09-plated Pulsar 2s when their new 61-plated examples and MAN EcoCitys arrive and enter service, however whether they're actually going to stay or transfer elsewhere hasn't been fully confirmed yet. We'll have to wait and see on that one. If they had six, they'd send four out onto the X1 and the other two out onto other services - and from past experience, I'm 99.99% sure that that'd be the case! So, going by that, if a Pulsar 2 was to break down on the X1, a Cadet would be there to rescue it because the other two new buses would be out on other services, as expected! This'll be the case with the one spare, too - there's no chance that they're going to keep one new bus out of service every day, just in-case another new bus needs replacing (especially when this depot has serious reliability issues as it is).
