Also, on a possibly connected issue, I hear that Preston & Chorley (along with Gillmoss) are likely to help out with Metrolink replacement this weekend, as Hyde Road have sent between 4 and 10 Enviro400s to the Commonwealth Games. Does anyone know which type(s) Preston in particular will be providing?

The Solo's (47922/3) & at least 2 of the new Enviro200's (37127-9) for Preston were still in the yard at Rock Ferry today.
