Stockport to Stalybridge - There was an hourly service on this route before the Trans Pennine services were diverted through Manchester Piccadilly in the early 90s. This left the route between Guide Bridge and Heaton Norris Junction without any services. Chester to Runcorn - It could not be Frodsham to Runcorn because you cannot turn a train round there. |
