I had got so used to these as part of the Mersey bus (2 words not 1!) heritage that it seems hard to believe they are withdrawn. I caught one just in May last year, from Bebington to Upton IIRC. Admittedly there are still the 55-reg examples, mainly at Runcorn, but these older ones have an affection of their own. |
