The more pertinent point on this thread is that neither of those areas offer any diversion route around the bridge for traffic whilst it is knocked down. Additionally, I've just seem the MEN piece about Roadworks in 2016, with the usual "More Misery for Motorists" headline before explaining the problems Stagecoach will be experiencing (!). In typically poor and ambiguous reporting, it infers the resurfacing of both Hyde Road and Stockport Road will start early in the New Year, despite me being told by a source within TFGM that it would be Autumn/Winter 2016/7.

I suppose the fast food would explain the antisocial behaviour, just that the hotel is there as well
