Arriva will take on 98 new trains, 17 cascaded trains from GWR, 3 from LM, 29 from Scotrail and 12 from Thameslink while they will return 25 electric trains to the leasing companies which will be used by other operators, as well as 119 diesel trains to the leasing companies - most of those are Pacers but some of those could still be used by other operators before being scrapped. That's a lot of train paint required even if the units transferring from Northern weren't being touched. |
