Having seen a picture of the damage that has closed the line , the track is still in situ but the trackbed has been washed out alongside some platform edge coping stones at the end of the platform.

Probably there was a little stream that has become a raging torrent to cause that much damage , but this is summer storms for you these days , they can cause havoc.
