Whilst that sounds like a lot of work (and it is, don't get me wrong), if Wigan is anything to go by it won't be that bad.

The intention there was to completely eradicate all traces of First - so new flooring, standard Stagecoach seating and layout.
When you consider that most of the problems you reported are with the seats, which would probably be entirely replaced anyway, its not that bad.

Still not a good thing though, and I'm sure it'll be one of the first away for refurbishment....Stagecoach are keen on their corporate image.

To be fair First seemed not to care about the condition of their buses on the whole in this area so the seats were probably left. They're very faded too and certainly weren't recent replacements if at all.

Once the takeover was confirmed to take place, first probably didnt give a whole lot of care & attention to their buses anyway.

Slight change to the list below.....28530 is S104CSG, 28533 needs to be reported if anyone sees it! (The list I have seen lists V125DND as 28530....but did that pass to Stagecoach?)

Good mix out today. A couple of Marshall Darts, olympian N-LHG, several Scanias, as well as 34597, 34603, 34604, 36806 and 36807 on chester locals. There was an unidentified Bluebird in the depot. Almost all 2s were Scanias. In Birkenhead 36808 and 36811 were on 41/2.

The joys of Quality partnerships - riding on an Arriva bus, using a First Day ticket issued by Stagecoach.

I have not seen 28530 or 28533 since the take-over.

V125 DND was flimed on service 55 in Leeds back in July. (Google search the reg.)

Bonwick did say "Don't treat that list as Gospel"

I hope this is not enother case 28551 becoming 28549, which caused confusion!

Went on one of the new Enviro200s today on the 42 and really can't say I'm impressed with their build quality. This one (possibly MLF, not sure) had a serious rattle coming from near the front and offered a generally rough ride. The interior featured an overpowering 'new' smell, but nothing like the Speke Gemini smell, much more unpleasant. The local pond life appeared to have already made a start on abusing the interior, which at least had comfortable seats.

I know of 21 Enviro200s coming here. I hope some Enviro300s follow. Mind you, with the First Scania heritage here it would be great if some Scania-Enviro300s come here!
