Does Stagecoach have plans to brand vehicles for the QP routes that they operate for CW&CC and CW&CC/Merseytravel. |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
It will be anti-competitive if Stagecoach decide to stop accepting longer period season tickets sold by Arriva, primarily on the 1/2 routes. It would adversely affect competition on a primary route, giving Stagecoach an effective monopoly. Arriva would need to match the timetable. Travel is glamorous only in retrospect. |

Whoever agreed to these QBP's on the Wirral dont understand how to get a balanced timetable , the service 1 is one operator and service 2 is a farce when it comes to share out with 33% arriva 66% Stagecoach, which on the main gives about 16 to 25% of the main route from Liverpool to Chester to Arriva , the X2 is just a sop of a service to get Arriva's figures up in the partnership. |

In my opinion, the X2 should have run Liverpool - Birkenhead - Ellesmere Port - Chester running limited stop between Liverpool and Ellesmere Port (similar to the former X8 possibily). Then the 1/2 could take up the local slack inbetween. Also as I have said prevsiously, the service should have been 50 - 50 from each operator (each operator running alternate journeys). |

The partnership was put to arriva by first, as they where struggling so needed to get things going again and make some money. The origional idea was Arriva would have the say over the 471/2 and First would have the say over the 1/2/X2 hence why Arriva do lates on Heswalls, and First do the lates on the 1s.. It made sense initially, and was reasonably fair to passengers except those with arriva M-tickets.. but now there really is need for change considering stagecoach are no longer going to be accepting arriva monthly savers leaving arriva monthly users with a 40 minute gap on the 1/2, and no service in the morning until 7am, and no service after 7 pm or on a sunday! There is need for change now I agree, and the introduction of an express style route would be beneficial, even if it is only 1 per hour or 2 per hour max. I am no longer active on this forum. |

The service 1 should be shared as well as the service 2 as at present . |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
If anything, Merseytravel knew that First were about to sell their depot and should not have set up a QBP for the wirral until the takeover was complete. But that would have been common sense an we know that Merseytravel & common sense normally do not mix. |
