Thinking of operator's local to myself , warrington would seem obvious. However I would consider Halton a mid size operator, a expanding fleet and big coverage cirlcle. There has also been some rumours lately but I am not going into detail. Cumfybus as well prehaps?

I was assuming with all the speculation that this meant the Wellglade group, you make it sound as if Wellglade is a much larger holding co, when in fact it's T-B and it's various subsidiaries!

I am guessing that Finglands must have been 1 of the rumoured companies,
@ 40 vehicles worth would seem to be 'medium sized.'

possible but who else?

I would count Halton as a mid sized operator, despite not owning the biggest fleet in the world it still has a wide services circle stretching from Chester to St Helens. There has also been a lot of rumous of a buy out.

EYMS have just put Whittles up for sale. I wonder how successful they will be in finding a buyer. The MCA may block First or Rotala, while other independents might be unable to raise the finance to buy it.
