RE: Bus Vannin
I can confirm that all five remaining ELC bodied Dennis Tridents left the Island during the last week of July (following the start of school holidays) and that the first two of the Citaro K's, numbers 103 and 104, arrived before the end of the month. Number 101 has now arrived as well; I await news of number 102.
The seats in Volvos 167 and 168 have been reupholstered in the now standard red moquette. Number 164 is still in service, not having yet gone in for its silver repaint.
Ramsey depot has now added one of the Mercedes Sprinter minibuses to its allocation, currently number 142.

RE: Bus Vannin
I can confirm that Citaro K number 102 has also arrived. 103 and 104 are parked on the dead patch; there is probably no need to licence them until next month in time for the start of the new school term, when they can release larger capacity buses from lightly loaded routes for use elsewhere.
Streetlite 242 has gained a rooftop yellow warning light, presumably for its alternate monthly 'timeshare' with 241 airside at Ronaldsway Airport.

Further new stock is expected here this year in the form of more Citaro Ks and two double deckers to replace 20 and 161

RE: Bus Vannin
Re-painting has only just resumed, starting with Volvo 162 now in all-over silver, so that (as of 9th March) only numbers 160, 163/4 still retain their original EYMS-type colour scheme.
Last year’s further installation of three-decker luggage racks in the (200-series) Citaros has come to a stop, leaving only numbers 201-5, 225 and 226 in service that are not so fitted. The status of number 210 is not known; it has not returned to service since an engine fire incident last August (fortuitously occurring within 5 minutes’ drive from the Island’s principal fire station). The fitting of the new luggage racks required the removal of the ‘jockey’ seat in front of the nearside front wheel arch, thereby reducing the seating capacity from 42 to 41.
Bus Vannin has taken over the maintenance of Manx Government-owned minibuses, and given them fleet numbers 850-60. All are Mercedes Benz Sprinters, and 854-60 (MMN 854-60L) were new last year. Further details (from the PSV Circle) are given on page 90 of ‘Buses’, December 2016.

The new Volvo Gemini 3s were being prepared for service last week, and are registered MMN183/4U. Note the 'U' suffix, peculiar to the Isle of Man, as it was never used in GB.
