This is a result of one service running every 30 mins , and the other every 20 mins , you will get at some point one of the journeys running close to each other , be aware the 38 does detour around the sandbrook .

The 407 also diverts via Millhouse Lane.

Also look at services between Birkenhead Bus Station and Woodchurch where Arriva's 413/414/423/471/472 and Stagecoach's 41/42/471/472 also follow each other.

You have to look at the Woodchurch Road services in isolation as such the 471/2 run to a combined timetable so they aint running on each others toes

No matter how you timetable Woodchurch Road services there will always be a bus ahead or behind , in the future it will be managing that gap that will become important for the LCR .

With the 407 doing one estate and the 38 doing the other there is no real advantage for both routes , unless the 407 goes half hourly as well , but that wont happen because of the interaction with the 471/2 in Liverpool .
