Will these be used in the olympics, before entering service in chester, ad are they for blacon pointer or X2? Anymore comfirmation? As rumour has it the cadets on blacon are heading for Bangor
We'll have to wait and see. I suspect that more than just six will be needed for Blacon Pointer services and the new X2, though. I think it's clear that they'll go to the Olympics before entering services, along with other standard examples.

How many vechiles are required for the new X2 Service?

2 I think, one for First, one for Arriva.

So ANW are operating the X2 and not Arriva Buses Wales, as originally predicted?

I thought 2641 was based at Chester depot, the most recent photo I have found states that it is a Arriva North West vehicle so it must operated by ANW. Strange because ABW registered the route.

P450 SWX says it is a Chester based bus, I've seen it today but did not see the legals. However the fleetlist says it is defo a Birkenhead vehicle. I'm pretty sure I seen that on Blacon Pointer 1/1As on Saturday. I'm confused. Smile

Arriva North West & Wales 675... "LES RIMMER"
I hadn't seen this bus for a while, but a Flickr friend had taken a picture of this bus. Does anyone know the reason behind the LES RIMMER naming...?

RE: Arriva North West - Chester Depot
Les Rimmer was the general manager at Chester depot (or similar) who sadly passed away around the times the Solos were delivered, so the depot named 675 after him.
