On my day out yesterday, I rode 30956 on route 408. I saw other Volvo B7TL-ALX400s at Oldham. Ironically, I had decided against riding one on route 92 or 93, just as well really! I noticed a Citaro on route 184 and an Enviro300 on route 59 whilst passing Oldham bus station. So it looks like OM are suddenly short of serviceable modern double-decks, unless some have gone up to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games.

The allocations on the 180/184 have been varied in recent weeks with B7TLs, B7RLEs and B9TLs being used on the route.

Also, looks like that the morning interworking from the X84 to the 83 may have been switched to the 180/184 route, as a 180/184 branded Enviro300 was operating this morning instead of the standard B9TL.

Im guessing the Enviro400s normally used will be in depot getting there branding changed ahead of the changes?

Another change as a result of the timetable changes sees most 24s and 182s stay on their own routes when they get into Rochdale instead of interworking with each other.

Also 524s were having a bad day yesterday with delays of upto 30mins from Bury yesterday afternoon due to the diversion in Radcliffe, temporary traffic lights in Little Lever and roadworks in Bolton, as I thought it seems the loop in Radcliffe is adding to delays to the services as it must be adding about 10 or more minutes to journey times at some points during the day, also it seems if bunching is occurring on the diversion route one of the buses won't serve Radcliffe Bus Station and instead turn right at Radcliffe Town Hall to try and get some time back

Sorry, meant Enviro400. Another 180/184 branded Enviro400 on the X84 this afternoon, while a B7TL, B7RLE and B9TL were all on the 180/184 route today.

Metroshuttle 1 will become the first service in Greater Manchester to use electric buses from next week, as 3 electric Optare Solos will be introduced to the 1 to add to the existing fleet of hybrids. Charging of the vehicles will take place at Piccadilly station.

I saw a B7TL on the 180 earlier surprised not to see it in the 83 they seem to live on there anyone know why they are mainly on the 83?
