Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
I had 4042 on the 1930 Crewe-Northwich today, Nice change from a B7 which I've had on that working for a while now, sadly the party goers upstairs didn't appreciate the DAF and starting jumping up and down, shouting and Dropping bottles!

2608 seems to have improved a lot scince I last had it too, Except the fumes from the back it goes for a centro!

Aye I presume winsford are keeping 4042 till it leaves? It's not been with us for about 3 months now & a DLA only returns to us if we've got a gemini down, as 4489 dunno if its got a fault but seems be running well atm.

2608 has improved drastically lately, really smooth & fast too! Shame centros are let down by their reliability & the interiors look pretty scruffy atm as well but hey Ho that's life. I'd say best of the bunch is 2619 which can do 55+ without breaking a sweat according to driver I know.

I do agree that an optare would seem unsuitable for the 38.
Before Macc took over all the 38's we used to use 4489 on 84's on a Sat and substitute it with either a DLA or a Centro on the 38.
Hope this helps.

Congleton Carnival on Saturday so lot of road closures - may be an explanation.

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
Gen today off a macc driver is 4489 will deffo be sticking to macc locals this week & some of nxt also. Apparently due to a fault with worn suspension bushes on the front axle resulting in quite a loud knocking noise, getting sorted nxt wk.

So till then its solos on the #38 for time being so we'll just have to put up with org being rather.cosy for now!!! Also had 4026 few days ago on the 37a, gotta say despite what drivers think its not too bad, slow to get going but once it does seems fine.

Can anybody please confirm what DLAs are still on the road and whether they're likely to be on the 84 longs tomorrow please? Also, is 3615 still around? Thanks in advance.

If this helps 3615 was on the 84's full route 5 weeks ago so presume it's still around.
