RE: TransPennine Express
Does anyone know what would the timetable, from December 2017, look like for TransPennine Express at Liverpool Lime Street ? |

Judging from the fact that Manchester Airport Northern services are still via the Chat, TPE services are unchanged. |

RE: TransPennine Express
I was reading an article about the Class 185 units just before Christmas , the article was saying that as three car units all powered there a bit on the over-powered side. The DfT said no to a trailer car being built to make them all into four car units a while back which would have got power to weight back to normal i think. |

They're "over powered" because of the terrain on the routes they operate on. They wouldn't have that much power if they didn't need it |

RE: TransPennine Express
I suspect there was a misunderstanding by Siemens of what was meant by trains with good climbing ability. Possibly they thought of railways on the nearby Bavarian Alps when they were designing them? |

I have and I use them on a regular basis so I know how the engine system works - but you were the one that posted about an article saying they were apparently "over powered" (13/02/2017 18:48)wirralbus Wrote: I was reading an article about the Class 185 units just before Christmas , the article was saying that as three car units all powered there a bit on the over-powered side. |
