Is this another route for Stagecoach to save? 101, 204 and now the 139? If SC made the route smaller, they could have that on 4 buses or 2 buses hourly (then if it isn't viable you don't lose as much). With Cumfybus cancelling this, I would assume some emergency tenders will be put out if there are no commercial takers with the majority of the route being exclusive (bar 248 at peak times and a few shared sections with the 8&9)

Yes its always a good few on when I see it, well better than the 289/297.

Once this goes the only service left in Liverpool will be the 133 and 214/5 plus St Helens the 289
I wouldn't be surprised if they have more tenders in GM to use the buses on instead they fell out with Merseytravel with all the network reviews over last couple of years so have been focusing elsewhere

I have heard they have lost most/all their Bolton work from 25th October, hopefully won't be true

In addition to the Maghull Circulars, they also work the Formby Circulars and have a route or two in Southport.

On the plus side they start the Southport Park & Ride from this morning. 2 of their 12 plate Optare Versas have been painted red and cream and branded especially for this.

It's interesting to note that Arrivs claimed that they would no longer be operating the Southport Park and Ride from 22 July !
