D&G Bus
RE: D&G Bus
Observed a D&G Optare Solo on High Peak route 19 (Macc - Prestbury) this week. It's not tracking, could either be covering for defective vehicles or driver shortages at HP ?.

Covering driver shortages according to High Peak.

What is changing?

D&G will be covering our 19 service in Macclesfield due to a driver shortage. Due to this, the 1320 trip from Prestbury to Macclesfield will not be operated on weekdays for the foreseeable future.

When is it changing?

Monday 16th May 2022.

RE: D&G Bus
Is it one of the 60 reg ex-Go Goodwins Solos being used on the 19? I've noticed recently the 130 is regularly getting an Enviro and 2 x Solos instead of the usual 3 x Solos. There also seems to be an additional small Enviro at Wincham. While 120 has been at Crewe, both 35 and 41 are at Wincham.

I know why 120 is at crewe......

Mate of mine is a D&G driver.

Basically last week when he was driving 120 & if he had to break heavy for any reason the ABS system wasn't working properly which meant it skidded. Nothing happened but it got sent back to crewe for further repair.

Versa 25 is back on the road though, it worked some 85 duties last week.

Sorry, didn't notice the detail. Just a red Solo. Disinterest then took over.

RE: D&G Bus
Well it seems High Peak Versa YJ62 FSS is at D&G, operating D&G services out of Adderley Green.

RE: D&G Bus
D&G have won (or rewon) the Bunbury/Tarporley to John Dene College route for the next 5 years. Worth £37k per year.

I wonder if they actually prefer fixed revenue contracts. On weekdays one of their big Enviros spends the day running that service and the Handforth Dean free bus.

RE: D&G Bus
Do D&G realise the irony of using 404 as a route number for their Staffordshire Show shuttle bus? On a web server a 404 error means it can't be found. Most people have probably seen a 404 error at some point when they've clicked on an invalid web link and it's also in the name of a Sky series.

RE: D&G Bus
Solo 50 is getting around the D&G network. It was at Adderley Green, moved to Crewe a few weeks ago and is operating the 130 today, so presumably at Wincham.
