June's changes: Lancaster Services Service 1/1A Heysham – Morecambe – Lancaster – University From 29 June 2025 Stagecoach will revise the route and timetable, extending the route within the University to Alexandra Park during University holidays, instead of Service 100. Service 2X Heysham – Morecambe – Lancaster – University From 29 June 2025 Stagecoach will revise timetable, adjusting AM peak journeys to improve service reliability. Service 4/X4 Heysham – Morecambe – Lancaster – University From 29 June 2025 Stagecoach will revise timetable, adjusting AM peak journeys to improve service reliability. Service 100 Morecambe – Lancaster – University From 29 June 2025 Stagecoach will revise the route and timetable, terminating the route at University Underpass during University holidays, with Service 1A extending to Alexandra Park instead. Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Services Service 7 Blackpool – Cleveleys From 8 June 2025 Blackpool Transport will revise the timetable, adjusting the Monday to Saturday daytime service to generally operate every 30 minutes. Evenings and Sunday service will generally operate every 60 minutes. Service 7A Blackpool – Bispham – Cleveleys From 8 June 2025 Blackpool Transport, in partnership with Blackpool Council and Lancashire County Council utilising funding from HM Government, will revise the timetable, increasing the Monday to Saturday daytime service to generally operate every 12 minutes AM peak and every 15 minutes throughout the rest of the day. Evenings and Sunday service will also be increased to generally operate every 30 minutes. Service 11 Blackpool – St.Annes – Lytham From 8 June 2025 Blackpool Transport will revise the timetable, increasing the Monday to Saturday daytime service to generally operate every 20 minutes. Evenings and Sunday service will generally operate every 30 minutes. Service 11A Blackpool – St.Annes – Lytham – Saltcotes From 8 June 2025 Blackpool Transport will revise the route and timetable, adjusting the route between St.Annes and Lytham to operate via Clifton Drive North. The Monday to Saturday daytime service will generally operate every 30 minutes. Evenings and Sunday service will generally operate every 60 minutes. Service 11B Blackpool – Spring Gardens – St.Annes – Lytham – Saltcotes From 8 June 2025 Blackpool Transport, in partnership with Blackpool Council and Lancashire County Council utilising funding from HM Government, will revise the timetable, restoring the Monday to Saturday daytime service to generally operate every 30 minutes. Evenings and Sunday service will generally operate every 60 minutes. |

RE: Lancashire County Council Service Changes
July's changes: Preston, South Ribble and Chorley Services From 20 July 2025 Lancashire County Council, utilising funding from HM Government through the Bus Service Improvement Plan, will introduce further bus service timetable enhancements throughout the Preston, South Ribble and Chorley areas, including the provision of extra Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday journeys across key sections of the routes, passengers can take advantage of the £1 evening and Sunday single fare. These revisions also incorporate some minor route adjustments following customer feedback from the service revisions in March. The following bus services revisions will be introduced: Service 112 Preston – Bamber Bridge – Clayton Brook – Leyland – Midge Hall The county council will revise the route and timetable, adjusting the route in Leyland following customer requests, rerouting the service between Tesco and Golden Hill Lane via Hough Lane and Churchill Way, instead of School Lane. There will be minor revisions to the timetable to facilitate this small route adjustment. Holmeswood Coaches will continue to operate the service on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Service 114 Chorley – Clayton Brook – Leyland – Penwortham – Preston The county council will revise the route and timetable, introducing a new Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday daytime service between Chorley and Leyland/Farington Moss. Following customer requests, there will be a minor route adjustment in Leyland, rerouting the service between Tesco and Golden Hill Lane via Hough Lane and Churchill Way, instead of School Lane. The additional Monday to Saturday evening journeys will be as follows: 2022, 2152 & 2322 from Chorley to Leyland; 2107 & 2227 from Leyland to Chorley The new Sunday daytime service will operate generally every hour on the section of route between Chorley and Farington Moss. There will be minor changes to the Monday to Saturday daytime service timetable to facilitate the small route adjustment to serve Leyland Hough Lane. RS Tyrer will continue to operate the Monday to Saturday service and Preston Bus will operate the new Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday daytime service, both on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Service 115 Chorley – Buckshaw Village – Leyland – Croston – Longton – Preston The county council will revise the route and timetable, introducing a new Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday daytime service between Preston and Longton. There will be a minor route adjustment between Buckshaw Village and Chorley Hospital to operate via Euxton Lane and Central Drive to Buckshaw Avenue, instead of Preston Road, to serve the new housing communities in this area. Customers from Buckshaw Avenue can continue to access the service within Buckshaw Village or other frequent services on the A6 Preston Road. The additional evening and Sunday daytime service will operate generally every hour on the section of route between Preston and Longton. There will be no changes to the Monday to Saturday daytime service timetable. Vision Bus will continue to operate the service on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Service 347 Chorley – Eccleston – Croston – Mawdesley – Banks – Southport The county council will revise the timetable, introducing a new Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday daytime service between Chorley and Croston. The additional evening and Sunday daytime service will operate generally every hour on the section of route between Chorley and Croston. There will be no changes to the Monday to Saturday daytime service. Vision Bus will continue to operate the Monday to Saturday service, including the new evening journeys, and Preston Bus will operate new the Sunday service, both on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Service 1 Preston – Ribbleton – Grimsargh – Longridge Service 1A Preston – Ribbleton – Red Scar From 20 July 2025 Stagecoach will revise the route and timetable, extending Service 1A journeys to Red Scar James Hall Roundabout. The timetables of Services 1 & 1A will be adjusted for the summer holiday period. Service 19/19A Lea/Larches – Preston City Centre – Royal Preston Hospital From 20 July 2025 Preston Bus, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, utilising funding from HM Government through the Bus Service Improvement Plan, will revise the timetable enhancing the daily evening service. The enhanced daily evening service journeys will operate generally every 30 minutes throughout the route, with alternate journeys to Lea or Larches. West Lancs Services Trainlink Service 319 Skelmersdale – Headbolt Lane Station – Kirkby From 20 July 2025 Lancashire County Council will revise the timetable, with adjustments of up to 15 minutes to improve overall service reliability and connectivity with other local bus services serving Skelmersdale allowing for enhanced onward journeys. Preston Bus will take over from Stagecoach to operate this service on behalf of Lancashire County Council. Blackburn Services Service HS1 Blackburn and Burnley Hospitals Shuttle From 21 July 2025 Moving People will revise the timetable, enhancing the service linking Blackburn and Burnley Town Centres and Hospitals to run also on Saturdays and Sundays. The service will operate daily, up to every hour, between 0600 and 2000. Burnley Services Service 8 Burnley – Weir – Bacup From 20 July 2025 Rosso, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, utilising funding from HM Government through the Bus Service Improvement Plan, will revise the timetable introducing a new Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday daytime service. The additional evening and Sunday daytime service will operate generally every hour between Burnley and Bacup Town Centre. There will be no changes to the Monday to Saturday daytime service. Service 152 Burnley – Blackburn – Preston From 20 July 2025 The Blackburn Bus Company, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, utilising funding from HM Government through the Bus Service Improvement Plan, will revise the timetable introducing a new later Monday to Saturday evening return journey between Blackburn and Burnley. The 2200 Monday to Saturday journey from Preston to Blackburn will now extend to Burnley departing Blackburn at 2240 arriving in Burnley at 2322. A new 2328 Burnley to Blackburn will be introduced, arriving Blackburn at 0010. This will replace the Service M2 between Burnley and Padiham. |
