RE: Liverpool City Region Bus Franchising
Just wondering if any knows a link where the franchising results will be posted when available. Many thanks in advance.

I meant that they’d get sold to METRO if not enough vehicles are available at the start of franchising.

I'm assuming this would be the most likely place....

That would make sense, and hope they've had staff working on getting it prepared and ready to release first thing in the morning.

Time will tell, there's been no leaks/rumours about anything (as it should be!). So whether the operators have actually been informed isn't even known for certain.....

Is the announcement regarding the St Helens franchise due tomorrow by any chance? I remember poking around that that the winning operator is informed (presumably around the 19th if I'm not mistaken!) with the announcement going public just after the new year.

No way Arriva would be selling the brand new MCCs, if anything they could transfer them to other Arriva regions.

The winning bidder was informed on the 19th, then there is a 2 week process where loosing bidders can if they want, appeal the decision. Obviously we have had the Xmas period, so could be possibly next week, unless its extended.

That would surely be 14 days , dont forget all the Christmas and New year dates in between.

So maybe sometime during the week ahead from the 5th January , there would be furore if the days were shortened by Christmas.
