Lets remember First are dominant in Chester though, so whereas an Arriva day ticket may be more useful for people heading in one direction, a first ticket may be ideal for people travelling in the other ... ie to/from chester then travelling in and around chester.

As for the 41/42 - its already been mentioned it was once their trump card so to speak under the SMART scheme, but once Merseytravel axed that it was pretty much left to rot!

What routes do First have in Chester that Arriva don't duplicate?

I can only think of Park and Ride and the 53...

You can get to Mold/Wrexham/Runcorn/Crewe etc with Arriva from Chester, so both directions you've got much better value with Arriva.

Take Arriva of the 2, take First of the 471/472.

Get rid of the QBP...

Everyone is a winner, because First would then presumably use the "newer" buses on the 1/2.

It appears theres quite a few 53 plate B7 eclipses parked in Rock Ferry now, parked in the front of the shed where 34230 and 60109 where sitting.

S103 CSG, S104 CSG (61138/39) have returned to RF (may have already been mentioned), 61138 on 41 and 61139 on 38s. Looks like 60113 R879 HRF is parked in the scrap line next to 60139 and a few other scanias.

60053 on 1s again today.

Hello all.
I thought I saw 66705 near Chester Zoo on Fri 2nd Nov. Looking at photos it appears to be from Yorkshire. Can someone confirm for me that it is currently operating around Chester.

Yes 66705 and a few others have been transfered to chester and wirral, mainly to replace some scanias
