RE: Rossendalebus
Oh goodness, another experimental livery...Why do they keep introducing them? Are they considering changing the livery and branding again?

Love the picture of the Lynx, I believe they were still in use for school services until about 6 years ago.

Also not forgetting the HANDYRIDER livery and brand!

looks like it,im guessing the cutbacks on services seen over the previous year or so was to pay for repaint after repaint, branding after branding.Surley it be cheaper to do experimental liverys on computer using a bus net or something rather than painting aload of buses into different liverys, picking one, repainting them what were in a different livery to that livery Then in a few months time bring in a few more experimental liverys.......

I understand it's not the finished look: rather just the base coat. Bit like how this Warrington decker was running around without vinyls for a while.

Bit like Bradford Traveller, when First split up Yorkshire Rider. BT had numerous experimental liveries!

RE: Rossendalebus
In my opinion this latest experimental livery is an improvement on the current red livery they have, maybe just remove the red off the front of this new design. Although I agree they should have just kept something similar to the Solo example in one of the links.

RE: Rossendalebus
Rossendalebus will be making a few changes in the Rochdale and Bury areas next month, as listed in the documents for next week's TfGM Committee meeting.

Services 466 and 467 will be withdrawn and replaced by service 461, which will be extended from Heywood via 467 route to Norden. Service 488 will be withdrawn and replaced by service 479, which will be re-routed via Chesham. Service 445 will be withdrawn and partly replaced by service 443, which will be re-routed via Ings Road, Cutgate Road, Martin Lane and Amy Street.

Service 475 is planned to be withdrawn except for the 1542 weekday journey from Bury and 1606 from Heywood (likely that the whole service will be subsided).

Not mentioned in the documents but another service that Rossendalebus are not likely to operate next month is the 446, which has been registered by Stagecoach Manchester.

RE: Rossendalebus
Interesting changes.

The 461 seems to have suffered badly since it got shortened, with the 468 taking most former passengers and the 467 link makes sense but there are not enough people to keep a sole Norden-Heywood link so the extension makes sense.

Service 466 never seemed to make much sense, the timings never complemented route 468, but simply competed with it.

I thought service 475 was a tendered route, shame it didn't succeed. I expect the journey will be for school children. I also thought service 445 was subsidised.

RE: Rossendalebus
Those changes mentioned in the TfGM Committee documents have been confirmed on the TfGM Service Changes webpage, along with some other changes (some of which also mentioned in the Lancashire County Council's service changes)

*8 (Bacup-Bury): Withdrawn
*244 - Times changed with the short journeys between Blackburn, Royal Blackburn Hospital and Guide withdrawn
*447 - Early morning journeys withdrawn (probably in line with Stagecoach taking over the 446)
*463 - Times changed
*464 - Times changed
*468 - Times changed
*469 - New Monday-Saturday daytime service introduced between Bury and Rochdale, which will see a 15 minute service with service 468 between Bamford and Bury (Traveline website has journeys starting in Rochdale at Newgate rather than the bus station)
*473 - Early Mon-Sat evening journeys are withdrawn
*482 - Re-routed to serve the Pennine Road loop in Bacup
*483 - Times changed with the Burnley-Water section reduced to hourly
*484 - Times changed
