U-turn for Stagecarriage operation on the 87A at least - from tomorrow, the 87A is revised to serve Bowesfield Lane and Preston Farm Industrial Estate. Also changing is the Elton/Longnewton end - 87A will now leave Longnewton and operate via the A66 rather than turning to run via Elton. Replacing that will be the 87B, the two services alternating each hour (the 1300 87B will no run on a Saturday) throughout the day. Due to the low bridge under the A66 on Bowesfield Lane, no double deckers can be used on the service, reducing the operating pool to SPD V210ERG, Vario T445WWT and the 2 B10Ms. V210 is to operate the first day of service.

Stagecarriage really are out to make themselves bankrupt...

Pull off Yarm Road/Richardson Road area where passengers are plently, yet go via Bowesfield where passengers are not... makes sense!

Nice to know they are also running this without being actually registered. Really dodgy outfit.

Not their problems - the service is now entirely tendered, and was only awarded last Tuesday. A registration has been sent to VOSA but hasn't been accepted yet, as such it was free on Saturday.

So is it still free today then? All the scholars on for nothing?

I believe the Northfield 87B journeys (which are still officially registered to be running as normal today) will be charging fares as well the 76. As the 87A/87B Longnewton services drop off at School times (and don' start til 9 on a schoolday morning) that won't have been a problem.

RE: North East Independents
V732DNL didn't stay with 'The Eden' too long after acquisition from Go North East, it now has found ownership with the City Sprinter fleet of Renfrew, as can be seen below. It would appear to retain 'blue block' seating, too.

Seeing as various members of the V-DNL batch succumbed to early withdrawal from the Arriva fleet and subsequently scrapped, those which passed into Go Ahead ownership have certainly found themselves being cast far and wide.

Also with City Sprinter is former Leven Valley Enviro200 MX59ZCL (formerly T12GAJ). As for the trim in V732DNL, you'll find that is actually the Go North East 'Go' blue seating, none of the vehicles that passed from Arriva to Go North East retain Arriva seat patterns.
