Just passed a PX12*** registered Enviro 400 on the 472s, not seen anything mentioned on here, any ideas? Maybe to cover for repaints?

Come on then, who didn't expect that? It left Carlisle this morning after the arrival of 16235, couldn't get any photos myself.

yep - a little odd indeed - but if it has found it's way back to RF will it see schools service like that while awaiting a buyer.

The othr question is if you bin the Royales - what's golng to do the schools work- we're already seeing Solars on a fairly regular basis.

are stagecoach keeping the school services? , if their not, theres no real need for the double deckers except on the 471/472

Perhaps it’s an agreement between First and Stagecoach that any ex-First vehicles they sell for onward use have to be painted out of the First livery. First don’t sell vehicles on, but Stagecoach do and it was inevitable Stagecoach would be selling a number of the buses they purchased, so they may have come to this arrangement perhaps?

We will see if anymore get done the same I suppose.

Hit the nail square on there Garsty. First send all their stuff for scrap without selling. Royales are staying till end of school year

Well as both the Wigan and Bluebird acquisitions have gone through without a hitch, I suppose this makes the Chester & Wirral acquisition more likely to pass muster.

In other news, Arriva Chester depot are not liking the new ticket prices Stagecoach have come up with for their operations, undercutting them somewhat, they are also looking at refusing to accept Stagecoach passes, I got stopped this morning by a driver and warned about the issue.

A ticket pricing war may be on the cards.
