RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot
Not sure if this was reported as supposed to be here, but Bootle have 2662 and it was out on 52/A earlier, so yet another pulsar on a mainly pulsar operated route. Oh why can't we have something different than pulsars, just for variety. |

2662 has been repainted into "Interurban" (not sure if it's been refurbished) and was on the 52/52A today. I don't like the way its front-end has been painted - the "W" would look better in a different colour to the main aquamarine. 2228 was on the 62/62A today - not sure if that's unusual or not these days! It looks lazy the way they are painting the older Wright front ends. The new VLWs at St Helens for instance look silly with the unpainted 'W' and yellow stripe wrapping onto the front end.

Very rare for a dart to be on 62's these days, ages since I heard of one on there. |

RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot
Had 2910 on 61 earlier, driver change as unusual on the 4.35 departure from Bootle with the driver getting off advising the new driver that the bus was decent and he had advised them to keep it out for the evening. New driver was happy and the inevitable happened after somebody says something is good when the bus threatened to break down at the roundabout at Southport Road. Bus was running but lights flickering and all that, sat there for a few minutes whilst driver tried to work out what was happening before he came to the conclusion that he should turn off and turn on again. Bus then consented to move but I always got the impression that the same could happen again, wonder if it did. |

7659 on the 61 today and 7669 on the 345.7669 appears to have had its wheels painted silver, not sure how long it's been like this but I've only just noticed. Could it be for preservation? |

RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot
Quality Bus? NOT! 4097 (S277 JUA) Interurban DB250/ALX400 decker is on 53A-AINTREE STATION route today. If the 53/53A route is supposed to be a QBP corridor, then why's a 15-year old tired London DLA decker being put out on it? (4097 is 15 years' old on 23/02/14) Is Bootle seriously short of decent buses? |
