Not sure about Mata making that much of a difference, they would need more than him, Mata is a very good player, but impact by himself I'm not so sure. Their problem is not just their team but also their manager, look at Everton without him. |

United took five penalties, so their accuracy rate was actually only 20%: Fletcher scored but Welbeck, Januzaj, Jones and Rafael all missed. An absolutely terrible shootout by anyone's standards. Mannone the hero. Nice to see after the pounding he took from fans and press when at Arsenal.

Everton won after going a goal down against Aston Villa . Tranmere won with a last gasp winner against Milton Keynes Dons . Oh and just to make every team at the top end of the Premier League happy Stoke beat Manchester United 2-1 . |

Liverpool left that late to win at Fulham , that win has really tightened the top of the Premier League . |

Really important win. Just pleased we gave the penalty to Stevie, not many better under that sort of pressure.

Fulham have now sacked their manager and have already appointed Felix Magath to take over, so now on their third manager of the season. Is it any wonder that they are in the trouble that they are. |

I think Fulham's biggest mistake was not taking on Curbishley as head coach after sacking Jol, and now he hasn't replaced Meulensteen either. It seemed certain he was waiting in the wings to replace Meulensteen. These last two appointments have been distinctly risky from Fulham for my money.
