YJ06 FRL - might've got the reg wrong but also on 19s for past few weeks

YJ60 KBN has also been employed on the evening 38 Crewe journeys this week

Yh sorry about that!

YJ06 YRL is usually about in macc as are YJ06 FYA. Also having walked past the macc yard last night, the deebee liveried solo YM52 TPX is still here albeit not in use atm seems have been there a few weeks now so guess its either spare bus or faults with it?

This morning I saw MX58KZE in Shrewsbury working the 96 with Bryn Melyn. It has had its 'Connect 88' vinyls removed but remains in Cheshire East base livery. Later on I saw a second Versa in the same condition, but was unable to identify it. It may simply have been the same bus again or could have been sister vehicle MX58KZF.

Since the Cheshire East retendering earlier this year, the 88 is operated by GHA rather than Vale Travel and they receive a lower subsidy than before. This may provide a clue as to why the buses that were bought new for this service have moved elsewhere on the GHA network.

Am I right in saying that the 'Connect 88' branding still remains despite this?

I can confirm that only MX58KZE has passed to Bryn Melyn. - It is to receive white based BM livery at some stage in the future.

MX58KZF is still working the 88 service. Strangely the other vehicle working the service recently is the Solo S280AOX.

I have a website which looks at the bus and coach operators in North East Wales. There are current fleetlists for all operators and most have a full historic fleet list.
Included are current depot fleet lists for Arriva Cymru. There are also a number of ceased opertators with historic fleet lists including the GHA Group

YM52 TPX certainly wasn't in the yard at Heapy Street on Tuesday or yesterday afternoon, so it has either been out and about in service or arrived back sometime later in the day. YJ06 FYA is on the 19 today.

YJ06YRL was on the pits at the GHA depot yesterday - therefore I assume that YM52TPX has returned to Macclesfield to cover for its absence (again).

For information - in case of interest - YR14HLU - GHA's new Scania has today strayed off its regular X94 route and I understand that today its working the 146 Wrexham to Whitchurch route.

Latest arrivals are R838/839/848 PRG - Volvo B10BLE / Wright Renown - New in April 1998 - ex GO North East. Due to backlog in the paint shop - they will probably go straight into service in their current red livery but with GHA Coaches vinyls. A clue as to their possible use (next week) from the - photo link - of R839PRG. R838PRG was not in a position to photo but has been given similar vinyls. R848PRG only arrived this week and has not yet been given vinyls - photo link of R848PRG.

I can confirm that Versa MX58KZE has now transferred to the Bryn Melyn fleet - it is to have the appropriate livery at some stage in the future. Sister MX58KZF remains at Tarvin working its branded route 88 - Altrincham - Knutsford. I understand that in the near future (October) the frequency of this service will increase and new vehicles are understood to be on order. (Believed to be Enviro 200).

Efforts to repair the ex Arriva MN - Scania / East Lancs - UYM551 (formerly M404EFD) have now been abandoned and sadly it has joined the vehicles donating parts.

Ex Dobson's Dennis Dominator G627EKA is being withdrawn and will be sold - apparently it is not ready for the scrapyard yet. One for preservation !!!

Ron

Smart move buying red ones ... to snap up some of Warrington's intending customers! :P

EDIT: The bodytype even looks quite a bit like Warrington's Cadets/Merits ...
