RE: First Manchester
I'm thinking possibly Leeds - They're taking Scania's off us fast recently, so it gives them reason to move the Eclipse Fusions away.

Thanks,
Liam Moskwin.

Couple more changes for First services later this month on the TfGM website. 512/513 will change its times, while a couple of journeys on the 353/354 are also re-timed. Journeys are:
*7.48am 353 Uppermill-Ashton (although the timetable lists it as 7.58am)
*3pm 354 Denshaw-Ashton
*3.55pm 354 Ashton-Denshaw.

wonder if some of the B7s will replace them in the next batch to come in August

I very much doubt that, since the B7TL's are in fact older - all of them. Possibly move some B9TL's from another depot, or maybe even the new Olympic buses...

some of the B7s are 05 reg

Well, they have to be withdrawn before they are transferred, that's what I was getting at. But yes, there's rumour they're off up and away.

Chester - Liverpool 1's... muhahahahahahaha

Well yes Liam I'd go along with you, you'd have to withdraw them to shift the, from Manchester. As they won't go to anywhere else in Manchester

QS can't take bendis apparently
BN not likely at all as the last lot of bendis was a disaster on the 582 and 8s
WN never in a blue moon
OM Just won't happen

Shame really because if you just move depots it's a transfer pure and simple

They are decent buses as well, and not really to old, when you consider everything

How come they were a disaster ?

A few years ago, you may remember BYs first lot of bendis T reg and V reg plates were moved from Rochdale Road to Weston Street Depot.

For work on the number 8, that wasn't the disaster, this came when they used them on the 582 Bolton to Leigh service. Now for anyone that knows the route. Knows how narrow and tight it is in Atherton Town Centre, they were blocking the road, when more than one bus was at the stop, and this happened quite frequently considering its a high frequency route. Aside from that, there were problems on Leigh Bus station and Moor Lane, and the service just didnt run to time. I recall The Bolton News, running a feature on this, there were dozens of complaints, and first acted, by withdrawing them of the route. Due to passenger compalaints, and replaced them with 06 plate and 05 B7s until of course the arrival of the first B9s Into BN.After which they were just left to rot.

Its a shame really, the bendis have worked incredibly well, the newer bendis on the 135s and 471s.

Obviously there are going to be changes with this latest 05 plate bendis, being removed in the none to distant future.

However know one knows what will happen for certain, its all just harmless gossip, but we will only really know after the olympics.

Am I right that the timetable changes on the 512/513 services compensate for the changes to the 571/572 Great Lever Circulars, amongst others

RE: First Manchester
I took a very quick visit to the Bryn depot today! Big Grin It looks like 60160 R10LCB is another withdrawn Excel now, it looked like it was withdrawn anyway. 31945 R445ULE and 31949 R449ULE are also looking bad now, in a rather 'smashed up' state! :O 31942 and 31953 also appear to have moved, but actually look like they're in a sort of alright condition...it looks to me like their engines have been started to move them, either that or there's a tow truck driver at Bryn that is excellent at doing extremely perfect parking and turning around buses with a tow truck! :P

It looks like, going off the timetables on First's website and Traveline, that the service is being completely retimed with the 512/513 effectively switching around on journeys from Bury.

512 will now run from Bury at 6.56am (weekdays), 7.58am (weekdays, also doesn't call at Farnworth train station), 9.08am and every hour until 4.08pm then 5.08pm (Sats) or 5.23pm (weekdays) to Bolton. Buses from Bolton will leave at current time but run 1 minute earlier to Bury. Journey times will be 52 mins.

513 will run from Bury at 7.32am (weekdays), 8.27am (weekdays), 8.32am (Sats), 9.32am and every hour until 4.32pm to Bolton then 5.32pm to Farnworth. Buses from Bolton depart at current time but will have a longer journey time between Outwood and Bury. Journey times will be 58 mins.

The timetables are designed to have 5 mins turnaround at either end with 512 arrivals departing as a 513 and vice versa.

Thanks for the excellent information, I use the 512 and 513 everyday, and I hope that in some small way, these changes improve them. Sadly though I am not banking on itRolleyes
