RE: Eazibus
So I can see what is happening here is that because of operational issues its easier to lose journeys on the 202 and 204 because it is a multi vehicle operation , whereas the 165 is im sure is just a one vehicle operation which would upset many more passengers . |

RE: Eazibus
Merseytravel should be acting quickly on this and getting somebody more reliable to operate the service. The losing of journeys seem to be coming with alarming regularity now and it is not good passengers waiting not knowing if their bus is going to turn up or not. Other operators have been criticised in the past for similar occurrences so eazibus should also be quite rightly criticised in a similar manner. Poor way to run a service. |

RE: Eazibus
All Merseytravel will do is withdraw the payments for the cancelled journeys. It is all that happens when a proven complaint has been made regarding dropped journeys. I think a 3 strikes and out approach should apply whereby the contract should be retendered and there should be a period where the offending operator is barred from tendering for contracts. It should work as a deterrent for operators to make the contracts their priority. |

RE: Eazibus
I’ve noticed on the Merseytravel site a few more journey’s are being dropped today: http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travel-up...t.aspx#Bus All seems a bit of shame this as I’ve used the 202/204 on a semi regular basis and up until fairly recently Eazibus have ran this service well with most journeys showing up on time and fairly friendly drivers although a few of them do seem to have left recently. Their 165 also seems to be run fairly well too. I reckon it’s a case that when Eazibus took over from Supertravel around this time in 2009 these contracts were for 5 years and they’ve either been outbid or did not bid to renew the 202/204 contract. Having said this losing the contract shouldn’t really allow them to drop journey’s as they have been on the 202/204 and I’ve experienced this myself about 2-3 times since May. Still this has happened to me when Glenvale ran the 202/204 a decade ago (not so much by Supertravel) and at least independents like Eazibus do plug gaps for Merseytravel when the bigger groups would either not be interested or would cost too much. Also had the opportunity to have a few rides on the ex-London United ALX400/Trident too! Let’s hope the remaining few weeks Eazibus have with the 202/204 are trouble free and Avon Bus are a good replacement for them. |

RE: Eazibus
Seems that us as travellers would not be amused to go out for a bus service that doesnt run , not every passenger has access to a smart phone or a pc , Merseytravel should be warning Eazibus as to there future conduct with regards Merseytravel work , it could now be a case that the 165 will only be worked till the end of that contract and then they may not be allowed to bid on renewal. |
