After more than eight years in store it looks like 90040 is to be overhauled, This follows the recent overhaul of 90037. In view of the forthcoming loss of Scotrail sleeper work what future does DBS have for these locos?

I wonder whether DBS are overhauling these class 90's with a view to offloading them to another company , overhauled engines have a higher price tag than ones that need work doing.

90037 is rumored for Greater Anglia, along with Virgins old WB64 set.

Yesterday I heard that the WB64 set was going to Chiltern but without DVT 82126 which needs an overhaul. Chiltern would source their own DVT.
Also both GBRf and Colas have expressed an interest in the Class 90s so I think we should ignore rumours until some hard facts are available.

Currently based at Arpley for Liverpool BT services are 60020 60063 and 60092.
Yesterdays Tinsley to Seaforth steel train was operated by 60071.
