That's a very good idea - but it depends though on what vehicles the new double deckers replace and how many they receive
If the rumour of nine Enviro400s of Chester does materialise I think there's a good chance they could replace the five Optare Solos and the four Wright Cadets. The Solos would go to Wrexham with the four Cadets replacing four Optare Solo SRs at St Helens or Winsford depots which would also go to Wrexham. The nine Solos and six brand new Enviro200s would equal 14 vehicles - I think there's around that number of MPDs at Wrexham (excluding the 51-reg MPDs) but I'm not 100% sure
Just a thought!

Is it not more likely that Chester will get rid of their ageing fleet of Darts before letting newer buses go?

RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
20 Darts operate out of Wrexham depot when they are all out 838/848/849/852/862/864/867/872/877/878/879/901/903/913/914/916/917/918/919/920
I think it would be a logical idea to actually do whats been said above when the 10 goes to Sapphire replace the Cadets and send them to Winsford then with the 6 Enviro 200s at Wrexham and with the LJ51 Darts staying we only need 8 Solo SRs of which Winsford has 10 and then all of Wrexhams Darts Excluding the LJ51s (838/848/849/852/862/864/867/872/877/878/879/901/903/913) can be replaced.

It's also possible that some may be replaced by the 06 plate MPDs coming out of London in the next few months

RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
Well i highly doubt it if they have said they ARE getting more Solos or Solo SRs, id rather have 8 06 plate MPDs rathern than 8 Solos but thats just me.

Thanks for confirming. Based on current deliveries it looks like the Enviro400s for Chester depot will be registered as 15-reg vehicles
