Allocating the spare Enviro400s to busy 89 workings is a good idea. 4618 was certainly carrying a healthy load on its way out of St Helens. 2986 sounds very poorly now, it jumped out of gear whilst on the 352 before finding its gears again - however, after this there was an awful jolt and 'dull' noise upon deceleration - with almost every gearchange down through the gearbox. This happened whilst changing up a few times too. Didn't sound very good at all and you could even hear it outside the bus too, the banging noise. _______________ Formerly MX59 JZJ |

The 2150 89 from St Helens has been swapped for 2976. The practice of swapping this journey over to Pulsars happened regularly when mostly Volvos ran the service. |

As I understand it the 25 deckers into St Helens should have replaced the following: 2701-2710 to Green Lane to displace 3062-3068, 3154 (Midlands) & 3069/70 (Shires) 3023-26 & 3047/8 to Green Lane to displace 3071-3076 (Shires) 2988-90 to Birkenhead to displace 3123-25 (Shires) 2991-93 to Southport to displace 3079-81 (Shires) 2676 to Wythenshawe plus 3 other single decks to be disposed of? |
