There will be two morning journeys numbered 45A from Northwich to Warrington via Comberbach and three 45As in the evening from Warrington to Northwich. A summary of the timetable is attached. (Source: Traveline NorthWest.)

I didn't see the 45A service with it being listed as a separate service in Traveline.

Some peak time Network Warrington 45 services also serve both Comberbach and Antrobus opposed to just Antrobus.

From the 45(A) timetable (thanks to those who posted this), it looks as though there will be 1hr15 minutes at Warrington between runs on the 45(A).
This should give time for 2 runs on the 16.
Hope to have more concrete details soon.

Why not operate on the opposite half hour and compete on quality and price? Oh no, can't do that - we might attract people from their CARS, instead of just threatening the viability of the incumbant's service. Still, the CMA will be happy.................

And dare I suggest a multi-operator ticket for Cheshire & Warrington, like exists in Greater Manchester and Merseyside?

Outside the former PTE areas those sort of multi-operator tickets just cant be found .

The only reason the multi-operator tickets can still be found in the former PTE areas is called Infrastructure built up over the years by the PTE which was never properly destroyed by Deregulation.

In Greater Manchester a system one Travelcard for buses only costs £5.20 off-peak or £5.60 at peak times. This means operator specific day tickets are sold for around £4, instead of the around £5 we pay for them in Cheshire.

If Northwich-Warrington services were every 30 minutes as you suggest and you wanted to catch a Network Warrington bus in one direction and a GHA in the other direction, I imagine it'd cost you around £8 so having a multi-operator day ticket to bring down the price for such journeys is relevant.

There's funding issues for the X22 Winsford-Liverpool bus again.

The subsidy for Saturday only X22 Winsford-Liverpool was originally axed by Cheshire West Council 12 months ago but Winsford Town Council picked up the tab for 12 months.

Now that 12 month period has ended and Winsford Town Council have picked up the tab for a 3 month period on the condition that everyone (including children and pass holders) pays a £7.50 return fare and if the £250 running cost isn't met then Winsford Town Council will pick up the difference.

For anyone wondering, £250 divided by £7.50 is 34 (rounded up).
